Situating Strategy Use: The Interplay of Language Learning Strategies and Individual Learner Characteristics

The Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt was proud to be hosting the first SSU conference in October 2015. This interdisciplinary conference inspired academic exchange within an international community of scholars on the complex topic of language learning strategies. More specifically, it developed new perspectives on the interaction between individual learner characteristics and the choice and use of language learning strategies. We look back at stimulating discussions and insightful moments in the beautiful lakeside city of Klagenfurt in southern Austria.
